| 202137 | 2003-12-22 19:45:00 | I'm with Laura on this one. I let Xtra run on the first option for a few weeks to check out what it was flagging as Spam. Satisfied with the neat job they were doing, I switched to option 3 - and let them delete the lot. Absolutely great. Xtra for ever!!!! | Scouse (83) | ||
| 202138 | 2003-12-22 20:06:00 | Interestingly enough it seems that spam has had a sharp increase over the last couple of months, I am in a position to see this directly and it is very noticeable. Even more interestingly is that I use MailWasher at work to clear a mailbox or two using the DNS filters, and Xtra is blacklisted by SpamCop.... the irony there is strong. |

| 202139 | 2003-12-23 07:21:00 | oh bother, now remembering that i am in business and get a fair amount of emails, daily relating to this, bookins - enquiry's etc and most of it has been posted by xtra as spam.....so i have to check it all whether it is in the spam or delete folder or all together folder, so makes no diff to me, so i have not bothered altering it and it all just comes into my inbox now, for peace of mind i need to check it to make sure im not accidentally deleteing somethiing business wise. and i dont bounce mail, but do blacklist a fair amount.... i can see this is going to be a long drawn out process in the eradication of spam in my inbox in the future. that thought just makes my day....not beetle |

| 202140 | 2003-12-23 08:25:00 | I haven't used my Xtra email account for nealy 10 months now . I used to get 1 or two spam messages a week but ever since that new so called xtra Anti Spam came into effect I have recieved over 50 per week on an email address that is only there in case Xtra finally come up with a better internet deal . I actually went in and turned the sapm guard up to maximum just in case, and it aint done diddly squat . I get No spam with Orcon or Ihug, maybe the spammers like Xtra . As for bouncing emails well I bounce as many as they send, and if it cause propblems for the isp's then tough maybe they'll start doing something about all the spammers out there then . |
