| 201813 | 2003-12-19 21:48:00 | I am using WinXP, Word2002, and Pegasus Mail. When I hit the key to insert " in a letter or document, the punctuation does not show up until I have hit the spacebar. If I forget this and type on, the first letter will come out like Ä , with the diaraesis over the letter. I have tried a different keyboard and it makes no difference but if it is a software problem, why do I get it in both Word and Pegasus? All other keys perform normally. |

| 201814 | 2003-12-19 22:15:00 | It sounds like it could either be a keyboard mapping problem or possibly an incorrect language setting. From memory XP has a small icon in the system tray of your taskbar that shows what the default language is. It is normally set to US English or NZ English. It may be possible to alter/check the language settings by right mouse clicking the Date/Time and opening this. HTH :) |
