| 202525 | 2003-12-24 07:18:00 | Personally I'm curious. Count yourselves on PressF1 for example. I would like to know just how many of the PressF1 Family use Linux ( any flavour ) as their one and only operating system? NOTE:- 1. Dual booting systems not counted here! 2. If you have more than one PC and they don't ALL run Linux then not counted here. Please don't get me wrong here. I am not asking what's best and nor do we want another O/S war. I have dual booted Linux in the past and I will probably have another go too. My solution is to use removable hard drives with whatever O/S I want to play with and I do. My point is, that for me, Linux is a very good operating system but having now got Wireless broadband which works happily under WinXP and this doesn't seem to work under Linux then why would I change for serious stuff? As far as I'm concerned all people have the right to use whatever O/S they want. |

| 202526 | 2003-12-24 07:38:00 | Does it count if you're dual-booting between Linuxes, or between the 2.4 and 2.6 kernel? ;-) Make me #1 on your list then: Gentoo Linux 1.4 Been using it about 3, nearly 4 weeks now I think. Run Solely linux for about 3 months Using it for around 10 months Who else?! Chill. |

| 202529 | 2003-12-24 17:09:00 | I'll be number 2 - Linux is the OS that powers my machine (which is the only one I use for my stuff), along with the servers which are managed via SSH. Dunno if I count though seeing as we've got 2 Windows machines in the house as well ?:| |
