System restore usually fixes such things but not always. Go to Folder Options and check the settings for "Click items as follows". It is good practice not to do too much cleaning of programs at one time in case something goes wrong as it is difficult to find out what exactly caused any problems. It would pay to uninstall only two or three programs maximum at a time and wait a few days before uninstalling more. The reverse also applies when installing programs, only two or three at a time. |
