202483 2003-12-23 11:59:00 Seems odd that a Petrol pump would be running a more stable and slightly more expensive Windows NT-based OS, while the Airport appears to be running Win9x/ME?!

I havent seen a BSOD on my PC in almost a year.. Oh how I dont miss it :p

202485 2003-12-23 21:01:00 Priceless but scarry. I hear from a source that they are migrating ATM's in NZ to Windows along with tellers terminals. Can't remember if its just new ones or they are down-grading the old ones as well and don't know if it's across the board or just some banks. May pay to have your digi cam handy as there's bound to be a BSOD coming to a locality near you soon ;)

Sounds like a plan.. I wonder if you can do something like put your card in and take it out 10 times to make it BSOD ;-)

202488 2003-12-24 00:31:00 The place to find the real extent of such problems is in the moderated newsgroup comp.risks which has been running for over twentry years. You can find it in Google Groups. Lots of wonderful problems people have had when they have trusted computers. Graham L (2)
