CPU :: AMD athalon xp2200+ RAM :: 512mb ddr400 3D :: nvidia Geforce2 ti drivers :: nvidia 43.45 or 44.03 mboard :: gigabyte, twin bios i recently downloaded the latest nvidia drivers for my computer, however the installer crashed in a particularly horrific manner that forced me to reinstall windows as my system restore would not work and my machine crashed if i tried to run safe mode. this however is not the problem... i reinstalled without too much trouble, but when i installed the last good nvidia drivers (43.45) i cannot run my prefered resolution of 1280x1024 @ 32bit colour if i try to set the res to 1280x1024 or 1600x1200 then i am reverted back to 16 bit colour. if i try to run 1280x1024 or higher i am also faced with awful pink vertical stripes down my screen. i have set my bios back to the factory failsafe settings for this repair work. i have screenshots of this if anyone requires them for whatever reason. i really dont want to have to reinstall windows a second time over but it seems to be my only course of action at this point. any assistance on this matter would be appreaciated |

| 202490 | 2003-12-23 09:47:00 | U could try reloading the driver for the monitor. By this i mean going inyo display properties,finding the tab that relates to your monitor,hitting the drivers tab,clicking uninstall then rebooting. Worth a shot. |

| 202491 | 2003-12-23 10:12:00 | Just seen your screenshots u posted at gameplanet. You may need to run an app that complety removes the existing nvidia drivers. Manually you can remove them through add/remove programs then take the reg entries they leave behind. Now,Can i have some info on your desktop?....is that a theme you have running? |
