202687 2003-12-24 00:28:00 To Enable it?

Open up the Device manager and view the NIC's properties... ;-)

202688 2003-12-24 00:36:00 By the way, check out Advanced IP Scanner from radmin.com if you're looking for a quick and easy way to send the "magic" packets :-)

202690 2003-12-24 01:33:00 Thanks folks - that sorted it out. I had the right settings in the NIC, but it was the BIOS setting that was the key - Wake up on LAN was disabled in BIOS.

I was a bit confused with this Fujitsu laptop because just doing the NIC thing wasn't working. My Toshiba laptop has a "Toshiba Console" that controls quite a lot of settings, and it has an option for Wake up on LAN. I was looking for a similar setting in the Fujitsu in case I was overlooking something. However, the Fujitsu laptop is the same as my desktop - no shortcuts - you have to do the NIC Properties thing as well as enabling it in BIOS.

That IP Scanner is a neat little utility Chilling - thanks. Now installed and pinned to the Start Menu for future use!

Thanks guys.
