202903 2003-12-24 23:34:00 Merry Christmas PF1-ers ... quiet day today; yesterday was an extended family feast with all the trimmings so I guess it's really Boxing Day for me
?:|

Scored a couple of CD's :) from the family, a portrait of Lord Rutherford from the boss :D :D - and a couple of Xmas cards emailed from some other PF1-ers.

202904 2003-12-24 23:40:00 Merry Christmas everyone and a big thank you to those regular PressF1 posters who offer such good advice getting us out of all sorts of tangles! Keep up the good work in 2004. We never learn not to fiddle, do we?

Santa was kind this year and bought me a new CD burner. I can now retire the one I've had for yonks and burn at faster than 4x. GREAT!!

Son is also happy with his PS2 with Eyetoy, and we've all made idiots of ourselves this morning with arms and legs flying in all directions. Heaps of fun. Don't think I'll ever get him to clean up his room now!

Cheers

202905 2003-12-24 23:42:00 Well the cat found and 'unwrapped' his catnip mouse pressie at some time in the wee small hours so that was funny to see the shreded paper under the tree. However the pressies all pale into oblivion as our daughter presented us with a grandson a few weeks ago and he is here with us sharing his first Xmas. Doesn't get any better than that.

Merry Xmas to all.

202907 2003-12-25 00:37:00 Well I've finally opened my pressies...

Got another DVD player (currently looking up how to make it region free ;)), clothes, a couple of CDs, Tom Clancy book (it'll be a damned fine read), PCPP (damned fine funny reading), and a hauled out search upon finding one of my presents was a note telling me to look for it myself... finding cash in the end (and while I'd love to spend that on PC parts, I'm going to sit out and see if this stupid Trusted Computing thing gets any further [if so, I'll be snapping up non-TC parts ASAP]).

Happy Christmas again, everyone.

202911 2003-12-25 01:41:00 well i have no major items in the computer district to report for pressy's have been working all morning, cleaning and washing, finding people accommodation (never have understood leaving it this late for somewhere to stay) and also trying to find resturants that are open for them to have dinner as well.....sigh.... not any who are not booked out already.....

i got a dinner set for a pressy???? no comp bits i asked for, and hubby bought himself a PS2 instead.....????
and we are to be invaded again by outlaws, with there friends for dinner???
when we had organised something else, so now have to have happy face instead.....

the kids are happy with what they got from us, and the rule no toys went out the door again from grandparents again this year....

sleep and peace would be nice and no visitors coming to the door would be bliss and an impossible ask...

hope everyone is having a nice day.
