| 203080 | 2003-12-25 21:16:00 | I can't get powerdvd xp to play sound in 4 channel mode, can't select 4 speakers under the audio configuration as the only options available are 2 speakers and SPDIF even though my sound card is set to 4 speaker mode. Have tested and know that the card (cmi8738 4ch) supports surround. I have downloaded and installed the latest drivers off the c-media web site, have even tried reinstalling windvd but this didn't change a thing. Before I go and by a new sound card does anyone have any ideas how I might fix this thanks -Jacob |

| 203081 | 2003-12-25 21:23:00 | Have you setup your PC to use the 4 channel speakers in the Control Panel under Sounds/Multimedia? It might not let you until you've done this! |

| 203083 | 2003-12-25 21:36:00 | Do you _know_ for sure that WinDVD supports 4 channel sound? Ive used PowerDVD 4 and 5 mainly, didnt really like WinDVD or any of the other player software out there... Check on the WinDVD homepage to see if there's anything about a newer version than you have supporting it, just in case it doesnt |
