203425 2003-12-26 22:52:00 My computer is finally finished, built piece by piece, everything but the monitor. I had a LAN last weekend so I borrowed a monitor then, installed windows, and was sweet as. When I got home I hooked up my ati radeon 9600 pro to the TV and, while blurry for text, works great. I plug into the TV using the RCA yellow video end plug on my S-Video cable, but CAN plug into the tv in the lounge directly to s-video (havn't tried though).

Anyway, for reasons I won't get into, I want to reformat the computer and reinstall windows. BUT I don't have a monitor. My question is, if I reformat the computer, will the TV-OUT stop functioning? Is the driver to work the video through the TV on the card or on the Catalyst drivers I have? I don't want to be stuck with nothing till my monitor arrives, but I'd like to reinstall and get everything done properly. SO...can reformat and reinstall windows on TV-OUT? I am thinking I can, because when I restart the computer, I can see DOS and BIOS and everything on the tv, it's not like it only turns on once I enter windows. But I wanna be sure :)

Thanks

203426 2003-12-26 22:55:00 To make my self a little clearer, I want to be able to see the installation of windows on the TV, to be able to see what I am doing. Mark Veldhuizen (2570)
