| 203285 | 2003-12-26 21:06:00 | Sorry for posting this again but never got a decent reply from old post. I just got a new hard drive for chrissy and everything went well with the installation. I'm only going to use it for storage so no OS will be installed. When I was in 'Disk Management" I right clicked the drive and made it active,I'm not sure I should have done this. I was writing to this disk just fine before and it's still fine but was wondering what I have done by making it active? My other drive has 3 partitions marked as "C: system"(windows ME), "D: boot" and E: My new drive is I: D & E are Logical and C & I are Primary according to disk management. Any help much appreciated. |
