i have an acer aspire 2600 i came with windows 8 on it and ran slow so i put xp home and its not the right one please can anyone help me |

Probably means it's not MCE, and he/she installed Home. Don't think Home supports media centre |

it xp home but the product key is for xp media center which is a special edition |

Even if you had media center, do you have a key for it? Was probably a bad idea removing windows 8 |

i was asked to remove win 8 as the laptop was not built for that os as it made the computer unusable slow |

Oh well you may have to buy a version of windows (like Win7), if you cant get the cd. Or if you don't have a key for MCE |

I would say the only place you're going to get it, would be trademe or ebay. But why install it, it's old |
