1330803 2013-03-01 20:43:00 Did you see that in the letter part of of the mag (those who read it) a exert from a thread was made. It was about Digby asking about the metal covers for PCI and addon card slots. And about how a mouse got into one of Iantech's customer's computer.
It was pretty cool seeing it there. I was actually pretty stoked...:banana

*The title should read: Latest PC World Mag*

1330804 2013-03-01 21:29:00 You mean people still buy that cheap glossy magazine? :( :( :( Zippity (58)
1330805 2013-03-02 00:23:00 I buy it. Bobh (5192)
1330806 2013-03-02 00:59:00 I like it now. It was a bit on the sad side of putrid for a few years, but it is coming back. Still a bit of a toaster magazine though, with Apples, phones, cameras etc. strewn around the issues. R2x1 (4628)
1330807 2013-03-02 03:13:00 Is this latest issue late out on the news stands? Been expecting to see it in Whitcoulls etc for about a week nw but nothing .... Chemical Ali (118)
1330808 2013-03-02 06:20:00 hmmmm, Im a subscriber and I haven't seen it yet, normally arrives a few days before month end. Morgenmuffel (187)
1330809 2013-03-03 03:12:00 People still buy the mag???

I stopped like a year or two ago. I had enough of every few months it being the same "10 tips to speed up your pc", the constant praising of Norton's, and constant ramming of Apple products. I'm happy reading though my large collection of back issues which are far more interesting. They were also veering away from computers and doing camera's and stuff. I don't wanna know about the latest digital camera dammit! I got the mag so I could see stuff about the latest software, industry tech news, latest sound/video cards etc..

I read that they no longer do the dvd's, I hope they've put the price of the mag down now, otherwise that's a true rip off. I remember I stopped buying netguide back in 2006 when they got rid of the discs (back then, they were vital to me, we only had dial up).

1330812 2013-03-03 07:13:00 The NZ PC World magazine is high in gloss - an low on useful content.

I quit contributing to their income fund last year.
