1331012 2013-03-05 23:00:00 Billy, the feedback process on trademe is designed to give indications on one trader's behaviour and trustworthiness. Avoiding to write negative feedback, when appropriate, in order to avoid blue and red faces does not serve the trademe community and only creates a false marketplace.

How am I going to be able to weed the good dealers/traders from the not so good ones if everyone only writes positive feedback in the name of peace of mind?

Ebay looks even more attractive now.

1331014 2013-03-06 00:15:00 I have just left my first negative feedback on someone today. I thought about doing the 45 day thing but screw it. Gobe1 (6290)

1331017 2013-03-06 05:52:00 I can't remember the last time I placed feedback on anyone. I don't bother after the trade has been completed.

I use TradeMe on average once a month.

1331018 2013-03-06 10:30:00 The trick is to not get greedy and trade with people with bad feedback. Its not worth the risk, trade with 100% good feedback traders only.
Does not take a rocket scientist to work this out. If the person selling stuff you want has bad feedback just wait for a 100% trader to sell the same stuff. I buy up Seagull outboards and parts ( one model the 5.5 WSC) off TM. No outboard is worth a reddie or bloo face wait for another month.

1331019 2013-03-06 19:35:00 Not wanting to hijack a thread but i have a bidder on my car who have crap feedback, 39 positive 8 negative, and i have asked if he is a genuine bidder in the questions, if he doesnt respond by the end of the day is it ok to remove his bid and block him, i just dont want to be mucked around. ......

Some legit, good reliable traders often have some bad feedback. You will allways get some ahole putting bad feedback on good traders when it isnt deserved
I have 3 red faces from 1 guy, it was in retaliation of bad feedback I gave him (1 month for him to answer my multiple emails, & then only after the bad feedback)
I look at the feedback of the person who actually gave the trader those red faces, that can sometimes tell you if the bad feedback was deserved or just in retaliation.

Ive got my 3 red faces, my previously 100% good is now feedback is tainted, so I no longer have to worry about retaliation when I hand out bad feedback.
I usually dont mind people being slow to pay, IF they let me know whats going on. I do get p8ssed when I have to chase after people to see if they actually are going to eventually pay.
