Sure you can, you just need an American VPN. :)

1330893 2013-03-02 07:28:00 I would appreciate the option of FLAC too, I think there should really be a nice far reaching store (like iTunes) that is solely a music store, instead of iTunes for iOS devices, Microsoft's music store of W8 devices etc etc. Just so people can go buy music and leave it at that. I'm not certain myself if iTunes goes too well with non iOS devices BUT regardless of that, it's not too fun syncing your Android/WP with iTunes.

One reason why for a while piracy was 'just easier' than mucking around with iTunes original AAC format + DRM.

So you can still easily drag and drop into your favourite device. Samsungs kies software can access music from iTunes.
The software for WP7 also interacts with the iTunes library folder

1330895 2013-03-02 08:46:00 Another place in NZ that you can legally buy/download from is Marbecks ( previously Digarama) Its the same as iTunes quality - 256kbps- without any ITunes software - straight downloads, after you pay for it of course ;)

I do indeed, it's how I managed my music for a long time. But it's a bit of a pain shifting it between two libraries. Much nicer if it's a central store. I do like the fact you can make a selection in iTunes and then drag + drop it(or used to be able to, haven't used it since v.7/8 it might not be a feature any more) you can't do that with zune, which annoys me.

Kies is a hunk of sh%* imo, it's got some nifty features but the UI is typical samsung (plastic looking and clunky) and the software feels heavy to use. I might try out the latest version, like iTunes, I haven't used it for a while.

Would maybe make is slightly easier in a physical sense having a unified store, but it would certainly make the process appear so much easier.

1330898 2013-03-02 10:09:00 All our music is on one Server , all the PC's / devices can access it and can play the same songs at the same time. wainuitech (129)
1330899 2013-03-02 10:26:00 I've never seen a legitimate store offering lossless digital music for sale. I think the record companies are behind it and don't really wan't full quality digital copies available for sale over the net.
They seem to respond poorly and with extreme slowness to the changing world of music formats. The best way to buy music at this point of time is still on CD, online is convenient and easy but the quality is not as good.

Also FLAC while popular with the public never seemed to gain any support from the corporate world. I ripped my CD collection to WMA lossless without DRM because it integrates much more simply with windows default playback software and whatever anyone else might think of microsoft I find media centre and a windows remote one of the easiest to set up and use media players for the lounge I've seen. The beauty of lossless is I can convert to FLAC or MP3 or whatever codec becomes popular from my ripped files and get the same quality as I would re-ripping. I made sure I had the tools required to convert to FLAC if I one day decide I need to before I committed to ripping my collection to WMA.

1330900 2013-03-02 20:06:00 Dugimodo has it in a nutshell here; there doesn't seem to be a willingness to provide a full legal and convenient online service by the recording companies . Makes one think .

My quest is/was to find an alternative to buy extremely expensive cd's that most often offer 2 good tracks and an array of filling crap they call music . By having a choice online one could choose to download and pay whatever one determines to be of his/her choice .

I don't listen to music through my phone, I see no point in random noise coming through speakers designed for conversation and what I wanted, and still want is to burn good quality music, such a . flac or similar lossless encoding, to cd to listen through my stereo set up at home and mp3 does not cut the mustard .

I guess I am left with the only other alternative . . .
