Wouldn't re-commend either of the two experiences.

1330694 2013-03-01 03:08:00 I am glad your experience has a happy ending, Lurking .

My two brothers each had a heart attack and neither are or were overweight . It may have been through stress . They both happened a couple of weeks after we lost a sister from cancer . I am happy to say both are now well again .

Roscoe, I know where you are coming from but there are worse things and I try not to sweat the small stuff .

I often wish New Zealanders were more open about showing their patriotism . During the Rugby World Cup we saw many flags flying in support of New Zealand . Some are still fluttering away on rural fences, looking a tad tattered . It would be nice to see a lot more of our traditional flag flying as well .

ps . This isn't meant to start a discussion on flag design .

1330696 2013-03-01 04:17:00 Why is it that when they play the American national anthem, the Yanks place their hand or fist over their left tit? It seems that the Americans are different from the rest of the human race. They think that their heart is on the left side of their chest.

I don't know about you, but my heart is in the centre of my chest, albeit ever so slightly to the left, but in the centre, nevertheless.

The sad part about it is that some children in this country follow blindly the Yank practice and think that is where their heart is. Isn't it about time someone told them just where their heart is? Perhaps they don't care just as long as they are seen as being patriotic and looking ever so solemn when the national anthem is played. Personally I think it looks ridiculous.nothingto do with hand over heart, but hand over wallet

No, this is America we're talking about, so it's hand over shoulder holstered pistol... partly for defence, and partly to check that the kids havrn't taken it to play with or to rob a liquor store.

Know what you mean, but I was just reiterating how pig-ignorant the Yanks are.
