1330475 2013-02-28 10:07:00 I don't have an account so there is nothing installed, just what it came with.
Yes it is on saver mode.

I restarted and that helped a lot but its not back to where it was.

1330476 2013-02-28 10:15:00 Always try a restart when your phone plays up, much like computers (which they basically are) they sometimes need rebooting. Often after updates they do strange things until restarted. Sometimes you even have to go further and do a factory reset to get it working right. My S3 so far hasn't really had these issues but the galaxy S I had before that several times had to be reset.

Also while I understand the reluctance to be forced into a google account you are missing out on some of the functionality of your phone and access to the app store. Your call but the phone is better with these things than without.
I particularly like storing my contacts on my google account so they are always available on any android device I set up with my account.

1330477 2013-02-28 10:28:00 Power saving mode tends to make the phone perform a lot slower. Try turning it to balanced/performance mode and see what happens.. sahilcc7 (15483)
1330478 2013-02-28 10:57:00 Ok Switched it off, see what it does now. DeSade (984)
1330479 2013-03-03 11:23:00 May I recommend rooting the phone?I did this and the phone is heaps faster however you'll probably need to find someone who can do it Ninjabear (2948)
1330480 2013-03-03 20:38:00 rooting a phone does nothing aside from adding the "su" binary which allows execution of administrative commands not usually allowed. Rooting a phone itself literally can't speed up anything. However, most people flash a custom ROM which is "pre-rooted" which is why many people get confused. The flashing of the ROM also involves unlocking the bootloader, which in turn wipes *EVERYTHING* from the device as a security measure, and because it's effectively a Factory Reset, it speeds up your phone. 1330481 2013-03-03 22:44:00 with a Google account, an Android phone is effectively useless GameJunkie (72)
1330482 2013-03-03 22:51:00 ^^ Presume you mean "without"? :D

You can still make / receive calls and text messages, but you'd be better off with a "feature phone" IMO.
