Note

You can also use a Microsoft account to sign in to any PC running Windows 8.

Wait, what? ...

Anybody know what this really means?
It just can't be what it looks like it means ...

1331115 2013-03-04 04:28:00 It means exactly that. You can have a username using your hotmail account. To log into Win8. I think you need it for the store. If you use your Hotmail info it'll show you, your Xbox info / games you've played as well. Speedy Gonzales (78)
1331116 2013-03-04 04:33:00 I think fred_fish means that it sounds like you can walk up to any machine running Windows 8 and log into it with your Microsoft account (as long as the machine has internet access.)
But that isn't the case. You have to have an account setup on the machine first, by another user that has administrator rights/access, and link it to your Microsoft Account before you can log into the machine using your Microsoft account email and password.

Why all the re-branding Mr Microsoft. Did no one want you product?
Did your underlings tell you a name change will finally let you take on Gmail ?
