1330882	2013-03-02 03:11:00	Here's one for you. I decided to (try) take the plunge and buy music on the internet. My only rules are: 1-Must be legal 2-Must be better quality than mp3 3-Needs to be a better deal than buying a fully packaged cd (of course). I did run a little web research and FLAC encoding seems to be the way to go, however the tracks and albums in that format out there are very scant and mostly new music :annoyed: I found a site called allflac.com but looks pretty dodgy... So, do you know places where to buy legal high quality music - whether FLAC or a comparative lossless codec compatible with generic players? I am not sure whether iTunes sells music I can play on my non-apple apparatuses, ie; pc and home player. Any help/view greatly appreciated.	Sanco (683)

1330885	2013-03-02 03:30:00	Itunes music is not lossless, but it is good quality, DRM free & supported by almost every device/software capable of playing music files. The only problem is you can only purchase iTunes music through the iTunes software. It would be nice if better music players were able to interface with the iTunes music store.	Greven (91)

Since most music is not legally available as .Flac I buy the CD and rip it to .Flac and put the CD away in a box in the cupboard	gary67 (56)
1330890	2013-03-02 06:23:00	You will find it frustrating trying to purchase music online as FLAC. IMHO all providers should give customers the option of FLAC as well as MP3. Unfortunately all anyone seems to want is some crappy cheap file that they can bung on the cellphone and walk down the street playing it out loud through the crappy phone speaker. FLAC isn't going to help the sound quality there!! I've ripped all of my CD's to FLAc and converted them all to MP3 also. The MP3 goes on my phone, the FLAC stays on my HTPC.	Tukapa (62)
