1330514 2013-02-28 06:01:00 Can't say I trust Vodafone though coz their 3G network isn't that hot, it'll take a bit for them to convince me to switch, and on top of that if I'm gonna do it I don't want these piddly data caps. Speeds not an issue for me currently, it's coverage, and data allowance.

I'll stick with HSDPA+ for now ;)

1330515 2013-02-28 07:41:00 Same as chill, with NZ's current data users cell sites aren't really overloaded so the 4G capacity isn't much of an advantage. Its purely a marketing thing. The mobile streaming services aren't that good here, TVNZ on demand isn't that HQ, nor is it available on many devices. Other than that it there's only youtube.

Basically no point unless they cut data casts/increase caps, which is unlikely given the cost of 4G distribution.

1330518 2013-02-28 08:12:00 I've been really disappointed with Vodafone's 3G data network lately, to be honest. Telecom seem to have much better performance - at least within the more central Auckland areas. Away from the city it seems to be hit and miss with either of them, heh. inphinity (7274)
1330519 2013-02-28 19:48:00 Our company switched from Voda to Telecom about 6 months ago sick of the lack of coverage. The Vodafone LTE launch if it can be called that has a very small footprint in Auckland. I think if I stand on the roof of my house and hold the fone up high i may just get a sniff of LTE and I live in Pt Chev in Auckland.. paulw (1826)

Exactly. Upload one video via Instant Upload and there goes my half of my 1GB data cap :-/ Don't care how long that takes...

Same for music, have all mine on Google Music. Speeds for audio downloads don't matter so much as having a semi-decent cap so I don't blow the whole damn thing after listening to a couple of CDs worth :(

I didn't know they made an iOS one, typical corporates though. Make an app for iOS and release it for android several decades later. Windows Phone will never get it.
