| 203797 | 2003-12-28 17:19:00 | Has anyone had dealings with "PC.Sales". I like their prices but I am a bit suspicious of firms that will not accept Credit Cards. Jack |

| 203798 | 2003-12-28 19:02:00 | From memory PC Sales do not have a "physical" address, as they litereally operate out of a garage. I would stay away from companies which do not have "real" physical addresses. Not accepting credit cards is quite common, as credit card transactions - especially over the internet/phone has high risks which the company/business will not want to take (possiblity of fraud). Try some place like Paradigm PCs (pp.co.nz), or QMB (qmb.co.nz). |

| 203799 | 2003-12-28 19:18:00 | I would buy from PCSale. They are somehow attached to www.etccomputers.co.nz Computers[/url], who I have bought from before with exceptional service, and who I would buy from again. PC Sale seem to have some of the best part prices around. As for them not taking credit cards, I find that a huge number of computer shops around the country no longer take credit cards for "non-present" orders (where they don't actually sight the card), as the banks ask them to guarantee the purchase (eg they foot the bill if the purchase is fraudulent), rather than the bank covering them for any CC fraud, and this becomes too high a risk for computer shops who are already working on a very slim margin. Mike. |
