| 203743 | 2003-12-28 09:18:00 | Alrighty. My auntie has just bought a brand-spankers Compaq 6000 series, with XP Home. It WAS going fine, but now when you turn it on, the COMPAQ logo appears on screen, and it takes about 15 mins to boot into XP. Bastard. Is it possible that her old (2-3 years old) epson photo scanner could be causing this? I have also noticed that the operating system is really slow, but theres no viruses, spyware, and the CPU/memory usage is fine. Can anyone help? | camo (4895) | ||
| 203744 | 2003-12-28 19:10:00 | Unplug the scanner and see if its any faster. If it takes 15 minutes to start up, tell her to take it back to the shop she bought it from and get them to fix it. It is under warranty. Mike. |
