| 203717 | 2003-12-28 06:38:00 | Not happy at having the PC all but stall when this occurs. I webpage containing an email adress (in most cases) then launches 49 or more copies of Internat Explorer. I have played about with settings for months, Outlook Express is set as my default email client, so where do I go looking for correcting this problem. Thanks.....John. |

| 203718 | 2003-12-28 08:04:00 | Hi John, Does it do that with email from friends or just the occassional unknown email? There are some joke links out there designed to make IE open multiple times very quickly just to crash you. But if its happening with emails from trusted sources, dont know. |

| 203719 | 2003-12-28 09:04:00 | Occurs on trusted Webpages, every Webpage with an email link, the latest one coming from Trademe site (buyer asking a question) .... 67 copies on IExplorer opened. | John W (523) | ||

| 203721 | 2003-12-28 11:50:00 | So, you are clicking an email address in IE, and rather than your email program opening you are getting multiple browser windows? What email program do you use? Maybe it is looking for the program but can't open it and so is carrying out an endless loop? Check your email options in relation to the 'default email program'. Ensure that it is set correctly. If you have the correct email program set as default in IE Tools/Internet Options/Programs try setting this to something else to see if it stops happening. This does not help you very much but at least it will confirm it is associated with this setting but not sure how you can rectify it. . |
