| 203950 | 2004-06-25 15:28:00 | Would you click on a file on the net that said, click me and I will send some information about you or more precisely you computer (habits), just a few K nothing to worry about. Your response should be, No Way. Oh, you would, can I send you an email? Just a weensy little one ;\ The defense that someone at MS would not/could not be bothered is either, naive or spurious. Marketing companies alone would pay an arm and a leg for peoples listening and browsing habits. Information and as much as you can get with as much detail is the holy grail of profitable business if you're that way inclined. If there was nothing in it, why the EULA the way it is written, oh! must'a been, be kind to lawyer week, write me a complex and obtuse EULA and we'll throw some money your way, yeah right. About as plausible as a bored tech pouring over your browsing habits, ever heard of a DB. :) Paranoidally yours Murray P PS. Anybody caught up with Hamstar lately? |
