| 203908 | 2003-12-29 08:05:00 | Hi Team I have lost Prime TV reception since yesterday when their signal dropped down into unwatchable snow. It is the same on all four TVs here which is not surprising as they all share the same antenna system and distribution amp but all other UHF channels including Triangle TV are still present at full strength. Even Trackside which is always weaker at my location is still normal so it is not an antenna, distribution system or TV fault. Is anybody else having problems? Cheers Billy *<8-{) |

| 203913 | 2003-12-29 08:44:00 | There are three sites/channels broadcasting Prime in Auckland: Waiatarua (Ch 59), Pinehill (Ch 48) and Remuera (Ch 44). In theory the first two are my primary providers. I can actually tune them all at my location right now, but I normally use Waiatarua because it keeps my antenna array all pointing in the one direction. It is Waiatarua that has dropped its bundle at my location, and the Pinehill & Remuera signals are just strays, way down in the snow. If it is OK in East Auckland stu then Waiatarua must be ok unless you are getting the Remuera signal or there is a satellite feed. Do you have Sky satellite at your place? I am below a ridge line that lies between my antenna system and Waiatarua so maybe somebody has built something on the ridge that is screening my location. I have seen that effect before but it is a pretty rare phenomena. Just my luck if it has happened to me! :( I'll phone them in the morning. Cheers Billy *<8-{) |

| 203915 | 2003-12-29 21:57:00 | I am having similar problems as well in the Bucklands beach area. Similarly I am just below the ridge line. Have noticed before at this time of the year that the same problems occurs ... more likely atmospheric, I guess ... on all free to air channels. What I have noticed that if it rains the reception improves markedly. Bring on the rain???? |
