My PC has ME operating system. My scanner Acer S2W 3300U has in its specs: Windows 2000/Windows 98. Driver has been installed and scanner starts up when I start my PC but everytime I click onto the scanner, it comes up with this message: scanner is not found!, please check if 1) scanner power is on. 2) cable is firmly connected, then retry or cancel. Power is on and cables are secure. Any clues on how I can fix this problem? |

find an winME driver or check what success other people have had useing the 98 driver. otherwise buy new scanner. |

Have you tried powering up the machine then before loading the scanner software, unplug the power to the scanner, plug it back in and let it do its POST then load the scanner software?
However getting a WinME driver as tweak'e suggested would be the better option. |
