2003-12-28 04:35:00 | Stu, you should have absolutely no problems with your setup and Win XP. RAM is fine - I ran XP on a 750mhz AMD with 256mb RAM for quite a while and I never had any issues. Its the other programs you might want to run (think "games" here) that might cause problems, but you'd likely get the same issues with any other version of Windows. Mike.

2003-12-28 05:03:00 | It should be fine. If you want to upgrade anything then another 256 Meg RAM would be a good first step. | Elephant (599) | |
2003-12-28 05:45:00 | I tried the 2505 XP trial on an AMD 450MHz CPU with 96MB of RAM. And it worked fine for your usual internet browsing and email. I run XP on an 800MHz CPU with 256MB of RAM and it runs fine.

2003-12-28 08:26:00 | i run xp home on 128mb ram, intel celeron 1.2ghz, 40gb(c10gb, d30gb) 52xcdrom, cyclone computer ultra small form factor. it runs fine for internet, word, some games etc... youll be all good. but yeah... an extra 128-256 more ram would be better | Megaman (344) | |

2003-12-28 13:25:00 | 2600 it was (synonymous with the infamous hacking magazine, and I'm wondering why I only just clicked to that). I've also tried 2600 SP1 trial on a, er, ~166MHz CPU (can't remember the manufacturer, but it wasn't AMD or Intel) with 96MB of RAM (some of which is shared for onboard video) on a computer that has a 2GB HDD. It lags, though I don't think I tried it with themes turned off, etc, which still wouldn't make a marked difference.
