| 203632 | 2003-12-28 21:12:00 | Simple answer. Current motherboard doesn't have a USB2.0 controller on it. If you want USB 2.0 support you will need to purchase a USB 2.0 PCI controller card. When purchasing make sure that it has drivers for your Operating System. Also do some research on Google and Google groups to make sure there are no known major issues and then you shouldn't go too wrong. Win98SE does support USB 2.0 with the right drivers. |

| 203633 | 2003-12-28 23:25:00 | My dad reckon that yes u can easily plug the usb2 pci card in the computer but the motherboard won't detect the usb2 card since the motherboard is too old.Is he right?Or is he wrong? This motherboard came out in 1997 before usb2 arrived.Is there actually a difference between the cards usb 1 and usb2 apart from its faster? Does usb1 and usb2 circuit runs the same way? |
