204059 2003-12-30 00:53:00 Hi folks.
A couple of problems with Outlook Express.

1. When I create an email and press "send" a small alert pops onto the screen saying "You are sending this message as rich-text (HTML) message. Some recipients prefer to receive only plain-text messages. How would you like to send this message".
I can click on either HTML, Plain Text or Cancel.

I have always sent my emails as rich-text HTML so why all of a sudden am I getting this message, and how can I stop it.

2. When I start up my computer and click on email (outlook express) before going on line, the inbox appears on the screen and I also get a window "Outlook Express" and it says some errors occurred processing the requested tasks - Error No 0X800CCC0D. I have looked in Google and it advises how to deal with that error number.

However if I click on email when on line I do not get that error message. It comes only when I am off line and go into outlook express. How can I stop it trying to open before I go on line.

Am using OE 6., with XP

Thanks for any help you may be able to offer
Smithie

With this option enabled everytime you attempt to send an HTML formated message you will get that message as a reminder that it really should be sent as plain text.

2.I suspect you have Outlook Express set to "Send and receive messages at startup" which is causing this error.
Go to Tools/Options/General Tab and deselect this option.
You will need to click on Send/Receive on the Tool Bar to download new mail after you are online.
