204739 2004-01-01 10:22:00 I created a greeting card with MS Publihser 2000. Everything is fine and the only problem is the colour of the printed card is quite different from what I created (on screen). I'm using HP 5550 inkjet printer.

Any idea why?

204740 2004-01-01 18:49:00 I have heard publisher is not very wysiwyg friendly. I dont know the solution but perhaps search the MSKB. Heres some search results (support.microsoft.com) that may help parry (27)
204741 2004-01-02 05:11:00 That's quite normal. Your monitor displays colour in RGB (red, green, blue), and print is CYMB (cyan, yellow, magenta, black) - they'll never be an exact match. I've not used Publisher before, but maybe it has a convertor similar to Photoshop which converts the on-screen colours to their print equivalent? Greg S (201)
204742 2004-01-02 08:38:00 Hi Greg

Publisher has a Commercial Printing Tools where we can select:
1) Composite RGB,
2) Process colors (CMYK)
3) Spot colors

Probably this is the one you are talking about?
