Thanks Andrew. I'll check out that site. I might try that PF Automotive place too - my problem was that we looked at the car on New Years Day, so everything was closed. It'll probably be closed Friday as well :( But we'll see :) Cheers Mike. |

2004-01-01 18:08:00 | I'd say you will be very lucky to find one. I have searched for one for a Honda Prelude and can't find one. I do have one, but I don't know anyone who can read Japanese. The joys of owning a Jap import !! Jack

2004-01-01 20:28:00 | I have a manual for my 1987 subaru leone (not 4wd). It does show manual gearboxes as well. It states that to top up gearbox it should be thru the gearbox dipstick. I have a pic but cant remember the upload site. Can someone post it here and I can upload. | sam m (517) | |
2004-01-01 22:34:00 | Have a look at this (sal.neoburn.net) This is from my owner manual for 1987 Leone, could be the same.

2004-01-02 04:21:00 | Hi BE CARFULL most 4wd Subaru have a dipstick for the gear box & filling them you have to pore oil down the dipstick tube, the frount diff also has a dipstick so make sure the right oil goes in the right hole. the 3 smaller boltes you spoke about DO NOT REMOVE as behind them are the detent springs & balls, be verry carfull what bolt you remove as you may have to dismantle the gear box as they hold & aligne things in side. I recomend if you don,t touch if you don,t know. $50 to have someone change the oil is cheaper than $1000-$5000 to have it overhalled | Stick (204) | |
