204697 2004-01-03 10:33:00 I have found another utility that shows a lot of promise but haven't tried it on a number of PC's yet. Worth a try/look though from here (www.webattack.com) Pheonix (280)
204698 2004-01-03 22:07:00 Thanks Pheonix,
This version you have supplied seems to work fine with no time problems.

204699 2004-01-04 00:54:00 Hi zqwerty,
Not quite sure how you came to the conclusion that 2004 is identical to 1987 as this year is a Leap Year falling every 4 years on an even year & 1987 wasn't.
Maybe they were identical until Feb 28, or after that date.

204700 2004-01-04 01:22:00 Pauline,
You are certainly right about the leap year and I did not think of anything just took info from here:

www.12x30.net

I have needed to have identical years before for problems in the past like old video players only set to run to 2001 etc.

Perhaps I have misunderstood this site. Search in the page for 2004 if you cannot find it. Post back so that I know what I have misunderstood, PLEASE.
Robert.

204701 2004-01-04 03:52:00 Hi zqwerty,
I had a look at that site & it is a bit beyond me I think. I blame the weather for making it hard to concentrate.

So I'm not the only one that has an older video that needs to be set to somewhere in the past.

204703 2004-01-04 03:58:00 Hi again Pheonix,
I couldnt believe it.
Cleaned the registry with my 2 favourite cleaners, namely: System Mechanic and RegScrubXP, then run the Registry Cleaner on Reg Seeker.
Reg Seeker found another 854 obselete items. 854

I had a quick look at the items and they did all appear to be old stuff, so deleted the lot. (after making a backup just in case)
So far, no problems.
Thanks for that great proggie.
