204615 2004-01-01 06:50:00 Have you asked the Automobile Assoc. If you are a member they have a big selection in Auckland of many car repair manuals and will often photo copy pages for you. Don't know if they have owner's manuals though. Worth a try. Peter M (852)

204617 2004-01-01 07:00:00 Since I can't seem to find an online manual, I'll post my problem here ;)

I need to put more gearbox oil in the gearbox (obvious destination I guess). But we can't find where it's supposed to go in :(

Does anybody know their way around a 1988 Subaru Leone enough to describe which bolt to undo or whatever to put the gearbox oil in? We tried a couple, but the holes weren't big enough for the tube to go into at all, so we guess they are probably the wrong holes (and didn't want to do it anyway just in case it was REALLY the wrong hole ;))

Cheers :D

Thanks exLL - I'm having a look there now... no action as yet though :( I might post in their forum though (good grief - posting in a different forum... that's scary!)

204624 2004-01-01 09:25:00 on earlier models there would have been a 'level/filler' bolt which you would insert gear oil until it dribbled out of the hole .

Is this what you are doing? or are you using a dipstick to determine that it needs refilling? if so then the filler hole is the dipstick hole .

You said that you have tried a couple of places already, have you test driven this thing after you played with those holes, definitely not a good idea to take out bolt if you dont know what it does .
