| 205425 | 2004-01-05 05:13:00 | Am considering buying a PDA, would like some advise from you guys "in the know" about recommended brands and what in particular to look for when purchasing one. I would like something that has decent features, price range from around $300-800 Brand new or thereabouts Thanks! |

| 205427 | 2004-01-06 02:26:00 | It all depends. :D I like the Palm OS, because it does the simple things I need (mostly making notes for myself). The Graffiti handwriting recognition is brilliant. I don't see the use of Windows in a pocket size thing ... especially one without a keyboard. There's a huge amount of free and lowcost software which runs on PalmOS. |

Graham is correct, the Palm OS is fast and lightweight . I needed to move from the Palm OS to the Pocket PC Windows 2002 OS to be able to edit (painfully, true) and return e-mail Microsoft Office documents while overseas . At that stage no suitable compatable option existed under Palm and the Pocket PC was the best option . For my use the Pocket PC is best (now) but prior to this the Palm system was fine . Your mileage may vary, according to your needs . |

Its one (probably the best) of the best basic PDA's out. powerful, small etc etc. Only negative - it cannot take expansion cards (eg - modems) But other wise itys perfect. I got mine for $350 from tradme - as a while ago some pc makers gave them out on purcahases on certain pcs - and tradme was flooded with them. But (i think) they retail for $500+ |

Bluetooth isn't particularly necessary. Personally, Palm desktop better but doesn't sync as well as Pocket PC with Outlook. robo. |
