| 205317 | 2004-01-04 20:37:00 | yingxuan, For saome information and links to solutions see Invalid Page Faults (aumha.org). The TPPINST5 object mentioned appears to be an External USB2.0 98SE Driver for (possibly) an AOPEN external CDRW. You may have to (among other things) reinstall this driver or get another released version (available from Here (download.aopen.com.tw) ) Cheers, Babe. |

| 205319 | 2004-01-05 14:03:00 | You are right. It is a driver for the cd writer. I don't think its a conflict because its the first time I've run the setup file. Can't reinstall the driver since the driver hasn't been installed before. I'll go do a naw scan and see if it has a virus. Can anyone download the drivers and see if it opens? Its about 1.31mb to download Thank you |

| 205321 | 2004-01-05 22:43:00 | There's no virus on my computer. On the symantec website here securityresponse.symantec.com Which shows how to extract and replace a new kernel32.dll file. plse look at the extract from the installation disk The first step is to go boot using the floopy disk. Then after it stops Type G:\win98 ( g drive is my cd rom drive.F drive in windows) After typing that and pressing enter it says bad command or file name So I skipped that part and type G:\ and pressed enter The next step was the extraction So i typed extract / a_win98_31.cab kernel32.dll /L c:\windows\system After typing that and pressing enter. it says error:cannot open file a_win98_31.cab What did i do wrong? |

| 205323 | 2004-01-07 14:18:00 | I dunno what a_win98_31.cab was but i went and extract win98_31.cab and still it didn't fix the problem. It still keep saying invalid page fault. Would running the setup file in safe mode work? |
