| 205571 | 2004-01-06 00:45:00 | I have this USB scanner (an Acer Brisa 320U I think) and can't get it to work under windows 98. When I try to scan stuff, the MiraScan splash screen appears and then this dialouge box pops up saying the scanner can't be found, check cable is in properly. Its not a problem with the cable: when I unplug it or plug it in an egg timer (on the cursur) appears for 1/2 a second. It has worked on and off before in win 98 though. Is this a known glitch with windows 98 se or is it something else? If win98 is mucking things up, is there a patch I can download anywhere?? Cheers Forrest44. |

I reformatted and reinstalled to get my scanner working, only to find that I hadn't plugged the bloody thing in to the wall! After that I had problems, until I started stimon, then it worked fine. hope this helps -wilky |
