| 206602 | 2004-01-11 01:40:00 | Hi Guys I run Windows XP Pro on my home pc. I have a problem, that seems to affect only my profile. Whenever I start an app that connects to the net (IE, Outlook, KazaaLite, CStrike etc) the app freezes for two or three minutes, then it runs fine. Once I have IE running, I can open another browser window with no problems. The other users on this PC have no problem, and I have another PC running Win98 sharing the same internet connection, with no problems there either. Help...... |

I will bear that in mind for the future No offense intended.... I checked for anything loading at the same time... nothing. There is nothing odd loading with my profile, and no other user on this machine is affected. When I start IE, the window opens, and the status bar shows "Start downloading from...", and then hangs for a few minutes. While it's hanging, there in no network activity, no hard drive or CPU activity. This is pretty much the same for any application, as soon as it trys to access the internet, it hangs. The only exception I have found is Outlook Express. |
