206417 2004-01-09 23:55:00 I have a toolbar called ZeroPopUp which I downloaded in error, I have tried to get rid of it by using
JV16 and Spybot with no success.

Can anyone help please!

206418 2004-01-10 00:39:00 Have you tried removing it using Add/Remove Programs?

206419 2004-01-10 00:50:00 That app includes a nasty trojan.

Try here:
allentech.net

If you have McAfee antivrus, try here (us.mcafee.com)

Yes we did try removing it by uninstall programmes but it didn't show up there. We have removed several files that we could relate to ZeroPopUp but the ZeroPopup toolbar remains even if I un tick it from View on the menu bar. Also when I dial up Internet Explorer it now always defaults to a home page called www. results finder.com even though I keep trying to change it.

206421 2004-01-12 05:09:00 Hi Norma

Have a look at our FAQs at top right of the page. You will find a couple dedicated to getting rid of these nasties. be patient while the faqs load though, they can be very slow at times and you may need to pop off and have a cup of tea or something to alleviate the boredom.

Cheers

Thanks for your reply. I tried the advice given by allentech but it didn't work but have now had help to remove it successfully. It was in the registry.

Thanks for your advice however I had already got rid of the toolbar with the help of a friendly technician. It was in the registry.
