| 206262 | 2004-01-09 05:52:00 | If you are experiencing slow response to right clicking or your WORD or EXCEL apps wont open on your Windows XP OS,it may be caused by the latest(07-01-2004)NortonsAV live update? There is a workaround available at,service1.symantec.com It was earlier advised not to manually download this update on XP and to wait until it was fixed or until next update was due in a weeks time? Cheers,Kiwitas,;-) |

| 206263 | 2004-01-09 07:59:00 | Thank you for posting this! My manager had this exact problem with her XP machine and I managed to work out that Norton was causing the problem, but didn't think of checking their web-site! It's great getting to the bottom of things :D | Just_wondering (1502) | ||
| 206264 | 2004-01-09 08:15:00 | I've been having very slow boot times when using NAV. Almost no h/d activity and total boot time of over 3 mins on fast DEL machine with XP home. Replaced with Mcafee ex old machine and all back to normal. Looking on various formums say this known problem with no immediate answer from Norton. Maybe response coming now.. |
