Not supporting an OS means that they no longer provide patches, updates, etc for their operating systems. It doesn't mean that they go through their entire site and pull off anything and everything relating to their old OS range. Means people can still find information and resources. |

| 207087 | 2004-01-13 06:37:00 | Silliy me, I thought that people on this site were saying that after Jan 16 all service packs etc for Win98 would no longer be available. It makes sense that at some time or another a design must be frozen and the team moves on to do greater things, and the design itself must be reasonably stable by that point. Apparently Win95 is not targeted by hackers much so maybe that will happen with Win98 as well given time. Regards Robert. |
