207085 2004-01-13 06:19:00 As for MS not supporting Win98se, I thought they had stopped supporting Win95 long ago but go here:

They have.
Not supporting an OS means that they no longer provide patches, updates, etc for their operating systems. It doesn't mean that they go through their entire site and pull off anything and everything relating to their old OS range.
Means people can still find information and resources.

207087 2004-01-13 06:37:00 Silliy me, I thought that people on this site were saying that after Jan 16 all service packs etc for Win98 would no longer be available. It makes sense that at some time or another a design must be frozen and the team moves on to do greater things, and the design itself must be reasonably stable by that point. Apparently Win95 is not targeted by hackers much so maybe that will happen with Win98 as well given time.
Regards Robert.

207088 2004-01-13 06:40:00 That's interesting, I wonder if they will start selling Win98SE again, but most probably not. Terry Porritt (14)
