So far works really well, thinking of changing from Mint to this, if all continues to go well I will instal it with Win7 on my laptop. I just downloaded the .iso, burnt it and then ran it. Online immediately, no fuss unlike Windows. Looks great to me. Will report back if I have any problems. |

| 1354481 | 2013-09-29 01:32:00 | According to DistroWatch (distrowatch.com) it's based on Linux (Debian/Ubuntu) using the Gnome desktop environment. It seems to be made to run as fast as possible by stripping back a lot of the "fluff" many other distros have while remaining functional, hence the name I guess. | Rod J (451) | ||

| 1354483 | 2013-09-29 03:34:00 | Ok, got it installed on my Toshiba M10 laptop alongside Win7. Browser doesn't seem as fast as on the desktop which is strange because the laptop is a much better computer. Install went well, no issues so far. |

| 1354484 | 2013-09-29 04:01:00 | Installed Audacious, VLC and Firefox, used my Firefox profile from Windows with 58 addons and heaps of extras, working without problems so far. This Elementary OS seems fine to me so far. |
