1353700 2013-09-17 22:22:00 I used winhex on a SD card to update the firmware on a android tablet.
Question now is how to reclaim the space on the SD card.
Winhex is hogging 3GB & I can't work out how to remove it.

1353701 2013-09-17 22:30:00 Tried formatting it? either in the tablet or a card reader.
I've had problems with flash drives and linux distro's, the custom formatting confuses windows but if I can convince it to reformat it usually sorts it out. this might be similar.

1353702 2013-09-17 22:44:00 Initially I went into the winhex program & tried to remove or format it from there.
Then tried a straight format, but 3GB appears to be locked in a separate partition.
Went to disc management but that wouldn't help either.

1353703 2013-09-17 23:26:00 Odd, it should show up in Disk Management, and allow it to be repartitioned from there. Take a screenshot for us? Chilling_Silence (9)
1353704 2013-09-18 00:04:00 Try the official SD card formatting utility: www.sdcard.org Agent_24 (57)
1353705 2013-09-18 00:40:00 It did show up in Disk Management but wouldn't allow me to remove the partition.
Have got it sorted now.
Tried Easeus Partition Manager. It allowed me to remove the partition & format the whole drive.
