2013-03-07 02:42:00 | I am noticing a problem with the forum. The screen is going grey and a message saying "waiting for google.analytics.com" shows up. I need to close the tab to get the site to function properly. Anyone else seen this?

2013-03-07 02:51:00 | It's your DNS server, try changing it to 8.8.4.4 and 8.8.8.8 and see if the issue goes away | Chilling_Silence (9) | |
2013-03-07 03:17:00 | Can you tell me where to find that setting? | DeSade (984) | |
2013-03-07 03:18:00 | Yep had it a day or so back, it was only with Windows IE as well. As soon as I loaded up in FF it didn't happen. What has been happening a few times, in fact its getting worse over the last week is the whole site freezes then a message pops up saying words to the effect pressf1 script has stopped responding do you want to close, Close it and carry on. using IE BTW.

2013-03-07 04:03:00 | I have had that blocked in my host file for ages - was a real pita hanging often at random times. They obviously had a lot of flack about it, 'cos now it's even easier to stop it! :) here you go - a plugin to get rid of the prob altogether... tools.google.com

2013-03-07 04:25:00 | I have all the google tracking nonsenses including analytics, and double click etc etc in the HOSTS file. That stops it as far as I'm concerned. Edit; just every now and then a site will not load unless google analytics is allowed.
