1331453 2013-03-08 01:39:00 Have noticed no difference in quality of service but I'm going to investigate why our Internet is so slow compared with my sister's in the North Island. Not sure if it is my modem or location but I hope I can get far better.

Start a new thread and we'll start working through it with ya! :)

Thanks. :)

Need to try a couple of things first to see if they make a difference and if not will see what the team can come up with.

1331455 2013-03-08 04:35:00 Have been with telecom for many years. Always found them helpful.
When they changed to ADSL2 they sent me a free router.
They recently changed my plan and gave me 30GB (which is more than I need).
Total cost for landline and BB is $75/m. Also national tolls seem
to be capped at $2.50.

1331457 2013-03-08 10:31:00 Telecom have given me great and enduring satisfaction for the last 5 or 6 years.
I do not any longer deal with Telecom for anything. Avoiding Telecom is far better financially, and generally the quality of life has been hugely enhanced. My dishes sparkle, whites are whiter and colours are brighter. Plants grow better, and I no longer have to waste huge periods of time listening to weird music and corny announcements only to get connected to some mindless, ill-informed buffalo herder who will make me realise that being on hold is by far the best part of the whole customer support experience. I would recommend Telecom in this regard above all others; in fact, when it comes to avoiding any contact, Telecom are hard to beat. They are actually off my Xmas card list too.

1331459 2013-03-09 00:06:00 I too had been a regular die hard Telecom customer till last year, when things went haywire with my internet and phone that i had with them, which caused a huge bill and unhappy people on both sides. so to cut long story short to save on costs, i cut ph and net off, and had neither for 6 months while we resolved bills issues......but then when i applied to get reconnected phone and net, they declined even tho i was then a nil balance problem person, they declined to have us back. so i went else where.

am with orcon now, on the $89 60gig plan with a landline. $25 cheaper a month than what i was on with telecom, and 40 gig more......... so im happy :)

1331460 2013-03-09 00:39:00 I have been with Telecom a very long time, and not quite tempted to switch everything despite teleco's trying to convince me when they visit home. Can't be bothered. Telecom also let me buy a Galaxy phone on part payments, saying that they don't always advertise such deals on their website. This is on their open type plan. So may buy another on similar terms. Also they seem to have a few landline addon's, e.g. dedicated call numbers, groups, etc which I have found beneficial. kahawai chaser (3545)

Xnet at present, but they have made a bit of a slip so maybe it is time for a change. Their sales people are the usual; full of it. The few contacts with the help desk I've had have been models of their kind. Estimable service. Others have had unhappy experiences, but after suffering Telecon and Vodafone, I may be a bit harder to displease. ;)

Why do you contradict yourself?
Is it an error
Or on purpose ?
