Well if you want software that can detect when your using it despite a complete lack of input then your probably going to have it use its camera to detect a face looking at it in which case your battery life is going to go straight to the depths of hell. So yes, it is smart and having to touch the screen with a finger once every 4 minutes is a small price to pay for that feature, and if you really dont liek it you can always turn the timer off.
*shrug* my S4 does face detection, as did the S3, and there's almost zero battery life difference with it on or off. Had actually assumed it was a standard Android feature, but it seems not. I literally threw an iphone4 off the deck when the stupid thing kept turning the screen off. I get frustrated easily by technology that makes it more annoying, not less :P |
