I try to avoid ironing whenever possible . It is not my favourite sport .

Looks like you do shell them (somehow) - Pepita ( . wikipedia . org/wiki/Pepita" target="_blank">en . wikipedia . org) - see images .

This ( . co . nz/product . php?productid=420" target="_blank">nutsonline . co . nz) is what they normally look like .

edit: Oh! How to shell pumpkin seeds in 15 easy steps! ( . wikihow . com/Shell-Pumpkin-Seeds" target="_blank">www . wikihow . com)

Yes, I split a couple of seeds and found the green bits inside but you can eat the seeds whole after roasting them . My green bits seem a bit flat compared to my shop ones so maybe I needed to do the soaking thing first to puff them up . I am going to roast the seeds whole this time for something different to try and next time I get a pumpkin I will shell them as in that article . Would have been good to have read it a few days ago as the advice "Lay the seeds flat over a cookie sheet or parchment paper . Let dry if still wet from cleaning . Note, do not use paper towels, they will stick to the seeds . " is very pertinent .

www.wikihow.com Has a pretty good set of instructions.

That article was one of the first I came across then I found others with slightly different methods so I am picking out the bits that appeal to me for my method. :p
