| 1354197 | 2013-09-24 04:32:00 | HDD in original PC had a bout a million disk errors and controller errors in event viewer. PC would "shut off". Observed, it didn't shut off exactly, it just went black....no drive. ERD Commander couldn't read drive. BIOS did, at least mostly.... On safe mode boot, it failed several times, then finally got in - at which point I saw all the event viewer errors. Drive now here in my PC and I have run all sorts, Seatools, HD Tach, Chkdsk, HD Tune, Sisoft Sandra stress tests, Spinrite. It passed the lot Written to drive all day, no issues found. So.....motherboard? |
