1332393 2013-03-12 19:38:00 Currently have one of those black $15 from DSE and it works fine, fits great etc.

But looking to buy a few bulk at a time (3-5) for a little cheaper. Do any places sell them in packs or otherwise where is the best place to purchase them cheaply?

Cheers

Then I just take a long-nosed pair of pliers where the power adapter says it'll work, and bend the pins so they look like this:

Test it on an *unplugged* multiboard to make sure you've lined them up OK, but that's what I've done with most of the power adapters for gadgets I've got from the US. Again though, make sure the power supply will take a 240v input.

What's the end use? If you are going to resell something AFAIK it has to have a proper NZ standard plug with no adapter. That's the approach TradeMe take.

1332398 2013-03-12 23:26:00 Oh? I've sold a few spare N4s on TradeMe, fulling noting that it has a US plug. No objections thus far? Chilling_Silence (9)

"Can I list an electrical item with a foreign plug?

No. All items that need plugs must have New Zealand plugs and meet the regulatory requirements; no exceptions. For example, you cannot sell a phone with a charger that uses a UK plug with an adaptor." www.trademe.co.nz

Will take about 2 weeks to arrive but they will be cheap.

How do some major retail shops get away with selling certain electrical appliances with plug adapters then?
