You seem to have spelt it pretty well :)

I guess with gaming, since everyone is quite competitive I'd assume it's because people want to be unique. Have something other than top quality gear to set them apart from the crowd.

1332173 2013-03-12 04:33:00 Most competitive gamers use a $30 Logitech. The fancy ones use a $90 Razer. Anyone else is a showpony. pablo d (15490)
1332174 2013-03-12 04:42:00 Competitive gamers (I hope) use what they find best... Calling someone a "showpony" because they choose to use a $120 X brand mouse is stupid imo. If it works for them/you it doesn't matter what they/you use. icow (15313)
1332175 2013-03-12 04:48:00 Just speaking from my own experiences in the lan scene.

Two genuine reasons for owning a $100+ mouse would be mmo-tards who need a thousand buttons, and people who want a good wireless mouse.

1332177 2013-03-12 04:56:00 You heard me :D

I tend to use derogatory terms for people who excel at things that I'm no good at.

1332178 2013-03-12 05:05:00 If you find a $100+ mouse more comfortable and useable than anything a "pro" uses then surely you're better off with your $100+ mouse? icow (15313)
